Who is Kurt Faux?

Kurt Faux is the principal shareholder of The Faux Law Group, a Nevada-based law firm that he founded in December of 1995.  You can read a bit more about Kurt's legal background here.

While attending Brigham Young University-Hawaii Campus, Kurt majored in English. A gifted writer, he caught the attention of a certain beautiful Asian student who, aside from thinking that he was definitely a stud, was impressed by his articulate English essays and critical analyses of literature. They immediately became best friends....and have been, as of this posting, happily married for over THIRTY years!

Kurt has always loved critical and analytical thinking and although he originally set out to be a teacher with the hopes of changing the world, he found himself preparing to apply to law school. Having had his share of a thousand attorney jokes, it would seem daunting...until someone really needs a lawyer. When one finds himself in a situation like this, relief from the stress and strain of such a situation is not just crucial but ever so welcome. Changing the world is possible one client at a time. Kurt has a keen passion for the practice of law. An eagle scout and avid sportsman, Kurt enjoys challenges...and winning.

He founded The Faux Law Group in December of 1995, which began as a solo practice but quickly emerged to be the foremost expert in surety and construction law...a development that would see immediate growth in his practice and expertise. Surety law in all its complexities partners well with Kurt's ability to simplify complex matters to achieve clarity of purpose that in turn, yields positive results. This extends to other areas of practice that he also enjoys. You can check out his other areas of practice here.

Kurt's easy-going and gregarious personality can be deceiving. He is relentless and zealous in representing his clients. He is generous and sensitive. Yet he can be astute and protective. These qualities are what make him an effective leader and representative.

Family is important to Kurt. And tennis. He believes that an orderly life coupled with healthy living contribute to personal growth and success in all of life's endeavors. His two sons follow in his footsteps and have both chosen to become lawyers--one attended his alma mater, Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School and his oldest, attended George Washington University Law School. He also has two daughters who attend BYU, three grandchildren, two wonderful daughters-in-law. He and his wife, Christie, eagerly await the birth of their 4th grandchild in March of 2012.

The Faux Law Group is a wonderful place to practice law. Client satisfaction is paramount in their practice and the pursuit of excellence is their mantra. Kurt has carefully selected a competent and dynamic team to help his clients with their legal needs. We are proud to be a part of The Faux Law Group.
